Kulturfabrik Kofmehl

Project

To celebrate the 30th anniversary of Kulturfabrik Kofmehl, I created a large search-and-find illustration that captures the history of this iconic concert venue. The image is a joyful visual chaos filled with people, music, memories and moments that have shaped the Kofmehl over three decades.

Stories and characters from different eras appear side by side: legendary bands and concerts, former rooms and stages, as well as the vibrant Kofmehl of today. Something is happening in every corner, inviting viewers to look closer and discover new scenes and insider details again and again. The reduced, rough colour palette – slightly rusty and a bit dirty – reflects the spirit of the venue itself: loud, lively and full of energy.

This project was a labour of love for me – a homage to a place that lives and breathes creativity, music and community, and a great joy to bring so many memories together in one image.
